Copycat!

Can we say copycat? I totally copied Kristina Werner's tutorial. I'm actually very pleased that I was able to copy her work. I fell in love with this image and it was a lot of fun to color. I need to practice on hair and this was the perfect image to practice on! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I'm sending this card to my daughter who is with her dad in Austin for the summer. She loves to read so I know she'll love this card.

The image is from, The East Wind. The name of the image is Lucy Loo Bookaholic.

Prima Doll Tag - Take 2

I couldn't leave well enough alone. The more I looked at my tag the more I wanted to change things.
I went ahead and modified it by moving the flowers around and adding some more embellishments. Like I said in my previous post, this is the first tag I have ever made.
I don't have a bunch of stencils, I plan to make some on my silhouette. If anyone knows where I can get some free or cheap cut files - please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by. And please let me know what you think of my changes.

Prima Doll Tag

I am currently sitting in on a meeting at work. Total waste of my time...lol

I figured I'd make the best of it by sharing the Prima doll tag I created yesterday. This is my first tag ever. I already identified areas where I can improve, but overall I'm very pleased with it.

Smile

I made this card for a friend who was going through a tough time. Gave him a little smile.

Thank you card

I love this card design. I got the idea from Finding Time to Create, http://findingtimetocreate.blogspot.com/2013/03/card-set-for-mothers-day.html?m=1

I didn't change anything, pretty much copied it. Just used new patterned paper and added a little charm.

The Beginnings of Card Making

Let me start off by saying I have no idea where to begin. So I'm just going to share some of my work.

OK here we go, don't laugh. This was one of my earlier cards. I can't find a more recent one than this one. I love The Greeting Farm stamps! I remember being so proud after making this one. Look at the outline around the circle, messy. LOL! Still one of my favorite cards.

Here's another one. This one was one of my many Halloween cards. I actually sold these to a co-worker without even planning on it. The colors are flat but vibrant. Not too shabby. This image is from Simply B Stamps.

This next one has amateur written all over it. I love the layout, but the coloring is awful.Too funny. Look at the hair. Ahahahahahaha! This image is named Cupcake Emma and I got it from C.C. Designs.
Wow, finally some improvement on coloring. I really practiced coloring with my Copic markers. Best markers I have ever owned.  This stamp is called A Cheeky XMas from The Greeting Farm. I think it's retired, but not entirely sure.

Ah, the infamous blueberry gothic girl. Ok so that's not really the name of the stamp. This one is called  Twisted Tea. Also from The Greeting Farm, but this time it's from their digi collection. I
like the layout, hmmm need to do this more often.

My first wedding card. I actually made this from a scalloped circle. I remember I found a tutorial for this on YouTube, I believe. Unfortunately, I don't remember which channel. I'm sorry, I'm terrible sorry.

Ah this is another one of my favorite cards. I made this one for my daughter for Valentine's Day. The image is named Devilish Lucy and I got her from C.C. Designs. This card must have taken me a long time to make, because it looks very well put together. The color scheme goes really well together. Hmmmm not sure where I got this idea, but I'm sure it was from someone on YouTube.

 The Greeting Farm creations.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope I didn't bore you too terribly. Enjoy and feel free to leave some constructive criticism - but be NICE.
